Private Lessons: learn to draw like me
The private lessons are perfect for adults who are interested in creating your own children’s books. You might be a total beginner or someone who’s been learning on your own but hitting a plateau.
What can you learn?
You will learn the fundamentals of drawing, hone your observational skills and learn to analyze images. We will then put the fundamentals to use to create characters and narrative pieces. Throughout the course of the lessons, we will explore different illustration styles and mediums.
In short, you will learn a new way of seeing and storytelling.
Is it fun?
We will keep it fun by incorporating the elements that draw you to children’s book illustration in the first place in (almost) every lesson.
How much does it cost?
€ 25.00 per hour. One session is an hour. We meet once a week.

About me
I wasn’t like the majority of illustrators out there who have drawn all their lives. I only started drawing in my late twenties, when I needed a change in my life. In the beginning, I was simply copying whatever that was trending on YouTube. I didn’t understand the importance of the fundamentals until I realized I couldn’t improve on my own anymore.
That was when I decided to ask for help from a private tutor. She introduced the fundamentals of drawing, gave me constructive feedback and taught me how to analyze an image. She was exactly the push I needed to grow.
Being a self-taught illustrator, I understand the challenges of having no structure but too many online resources and most importantly, no one to seek advice from. Through my tutoring, I hope to help people who are in a similar situation as I was a few years ago.
